Doesn't this cake look delicious!! I hope it inspires you to play along with us!  All you need to do is to use some of the elements from the inspiration photo along with a Magnolia image on your card or project. Your entry will give you the opportunity to be the lucky winner of a Gift Certificate to Magnolia-licious, the best place to shop for Maggies.  .  . Regular Size and Minis too.   .   . along with dies from Memory Box and Poppystamps and so much more!! I can't wait to see your beautiful Spring creations!!

I would like to take this time to welcome the fabulously talented Jacque to the  Magnolia-licous Challenge Blog Design Team.  She will be a Guest Design Team Member and  joining in on the challenges from time to time.  Jacque's cards are always so gorgeous and very inspirational!   I'm so excited that she will be part of this wonderful  team!  Please stop by her blog and give her a big welcome!!

For my card, I decide to make another Center Step Card.  The last time I made a Center Step Card, I cut the slits needed to create the card using my cutting mat, clear metal edged ruler and my craft knife.  This time I had a aha moment!! LOL!! I used the Scor Pal with the matching Scor Mat instead of the cutting mat.  I used the measurements at the top of the Scor Pal to line up the ruler along with the grid on the Scor Mat and I used the measurements on the side of the Scor Pal to know where to start and end the cuts. I can't tell you how much easier it was to make the card! I love this style of card and can't wait to make more!

To embellish my card, I used Nitwit Hoppy Hearts Digital Design Paper and  Best Creations Design Papers.  Mini Little Bunny Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, along with all the other images that I used were stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The basket stamp is from Darcies - JCS0084. The Easter Eggs and Peeps are from Studio G.  Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter was added to the Peeps, Tilda, and the Easter Eggs. The grass was cut using the Grass Border Punch from Martha Stewart. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. And, the ribbon is from my stash.

Thank you stopping by today!! I hope that you will visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see the gorgeous cards and projects that the other Design Team Members have created!!

Have a wonderful day.   .   . a wonderful week!!

Big Hugs,
Suzan

It's Not Easy Being A Princess For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Happy Spring Everyone!! I hope wherever you are that you are enjoying a nice Spring day!! I live in Southern California, so my daffodils have already come and gone. It's kind of sad, because I love having them in my garden.  They are one of my favorite flowers next to Sweet Peas. It really makes me happy to see them. It's just nice to know though that they will be back again next year to put a big smile on my face.

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, we are being hosted by the talented Anne. This week's challenge is to use More Than One Fold on a card or project. I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be this week's lucky winner of a wonderful prize from Dies To Die For .

For my More Than One Fold card, I decided to make a Center Step Card. I found the pattern on Teresa's Folded & Fabulous Cards CD from Hot Off The Press. I used We R Memory Keepers Love Struck Design Papers. Sweet Princess Tilda and Prince Phillip (the frog), from Magnolia-licious, were both stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I think these two images are so cute together! Tilda looks like she thinking, "It's not easy being a princess, especially when you have to kiss a frog." LOL!  Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter was added to Tilda's crown and the heart on the arch. Glossy Accents was added to the frog's crown. The arch was made using Sizzix Frame # 2 - 655028. I just cut off the bottom of the frame. The flowers on the arch are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The grass was cut using the Grass Border from Martha Stewart. The flowers on the grass are from All Natural Accents. The butterflies are stickers from Best Creations.

Thank you for stopping by!!  I always love hearing what you think of my cards!! Your comments are so appreciated!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Big Hugs,
Suzan

Just Sitting Here Thinking Of You For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone!! One of my New Year's Resolutions was to use my Cricut more often. I have been getting the Cricut Magazine at JoAnns for a several months now and my hubby even gave me a subscription to the Magazine for Christmas.  I have all these magazines next to my bedside and before I go to sleep, I look through them for some inspiration. I finally have my Cricut out of the box.  I don't really have a permanent home for it in my craft room though.  It's sitting on top of the box that it came in and I take it to the kitchen table whenever I need to use it.   I  used it to cut the frame in today's card.  I think it's a good start.

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, we are being hosted by the talented June.  This week's challenge is to use Blue and White on a card or project. I hope that you will join in on this wonderful challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be this week's lucky winner of a wonderful prize from Crafts You Love.

For my card, I used  Nitwit Cottage Charm Digi Design Papers. Tilda With The Cute Skirt, from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock. Tilda's dress was colored with Water Based Markers and a Tombow Colorless Blender Pen. I colored the markers on a Stay Put Craft Mat and picked them up with the blender pen. The rest of Tilda was colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The frame that Tilda is sitting on was cut using the Cricut  Fancy Frames Cartridge <Frame 12> + <Fram 12Lr>.  The roses on the frame started out white and were colored using the same Water Based Markers that I colored Tilda's dress with. I had seen a wonderful video that Bev Rochester had done on altering flowers and I had to try it. I colored the markers on a craft mat and sprayed them with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I lightly sprayed the white roses with Glimmer Mist as well. Then, I took the roses and picked up the color from the craft mat. I made the little white flowers with a couple of small flower punches and some stamens that I found at JoAnns in the cake decorating department. The white trim was also found at JoAnns.  The Blue Making Memories Ribbon was a gift from Wooten's Scrapbook Store. If you live in Southern California, you have to visit one of their stores.  Wooten's has the most wonderful selection of papers and embellishments that I have ever seen.  And, Mr. and Mrs. Wooten, the owners, are the nicest people and always so helpful. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Wooten for being so kind to Jacque, Bev, Michelle and me when we shopped at your Tustin Store after CHA.

Before I close, I would like to share some exciting news with you!!  I have been asked to be on the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Design Team!! Oh My Goodness!! I can't tell how thrilled I am to be on this wonderful team!! All the Design Team members are so talented!! I am also very proud to be representing Magnolia-licious, the best place to shop for Maggies!! Congratulations to Jacque and Cabio on their appointments to the Magnolia-licious Design Teams as well!

Have a wonderful day!! And, a big thank you to all of you for visiting!! It really means a lot to me!! I hope that you will come back on Tuesday for my very first Magnolia-licious Challenge Card!!

Suzan
