Artist Trading Cards

Hi Everyone!! After my much loved dog, Woody, passed away, I started watching YouTube Videos to help me fall asleep on the nights that I just couldn't get to sleep! Not only have I been inspired by these sweet and talented crafters on YouTube, but they also helped me get through a difficult time in my life!  As I watched the videos, I realized that some of the crafters lived near me in Southern California and I have had the pleasure of meeting them!!  One of the channels that I love to watch on YouTube is craftyirina!! Irene creates such darling projects and is always sharing some of the wonderful techniques and products that she uses on them. Irene has reached 2000+ subscribers and is having a 2000+ Subbie Challenge where you have to create three ATC's. I have created these three ATC's for Irene's Challenge to celebrate her wonderful milestone! They are the very first ones I have ever made!!

Irene mentioned in her 2000+ Subbie Challenge video that she likes Marie Antoinette, so I decides to make this ATC using some images that I found on the internet. I cut the center out of the floral frame and placed the picture of Marie Antoinette in it.  I stamped the butterflies using #CS795 Kaisercraft Clear Botanical Stamp with Encore Gold Pigment Ink. I added some Recollections Pearls around the opening of the frame and a little piece of lace from my stash at the bottom of the card. I went around the edges of the card with the Encore Gold Pigment Ink.

For my second ATC card, I also found the frame, teacup and bluebird separately on the internet and put them together for this card! I backed the frame on some Paper Source Antique Gold Card Stock. I printed the teacup twice and cut them both out. One with just the roses and the very front of the teacup to layer on top of the other teacup to add a little bit of dimension. I edged the teacup and the little bluebird with the Encore Gold Pigment Ink. I stamped the "Seek Joy" using  LE5549M Hampton Art Carpe Diem Clear Stamp Set using Encore Gold Pigment Ink. I added three Hero Arts Heart Pearls and a little bit of lace from my stash at the bottom.

For the third ATC Card, I used a frame, butterfly and perfume label that I found on the internet. I die cut the perfume bottle using Magnolia Doohickey Club Volume 3 Perfume Bottle Die. I added some Wild Orchid Crafts Seam Binding that I ironed in half along with the perfume label to the perfume bottle. I  also added some  Recollections Rhinestones and Pearls to it. The Paris France postmark was stamped using an image that I found at a local stamp convention a few years ago. I added some little pieces of lace that I had in my stash. I also went around the edges of the card with the Encore Gold Pigment Ink.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I hope that you like the ATC cards that I created and that you check out craftyirina's YouTube Channel.  You can find all the detail for her 2000+ Subbie Challenge here. Congratulations Irene and thank you so much for all the inspiration!! I had so much fun creating these ATC's for you!!

Love With Owl My Heart!

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!! I've been trying to use my Silhouette Cameo that I received last July for my birthday!! It has been so much fun learning how to use it and creating some projects with it. I have two friends that had a birthday on the day after Valentine's Day, so I decided to use some of the cuts that I bought from the Silhouette Store to create this Owl Heart Pocket Birthday Card for them! I think it came out so cute!!

For the Heart Pocket, I cut Silhouette Heart Pocket #24583 by Alaa'K out of Pebbles Yours Truly ~ Heart Strings Design Paper. I added a ruffle of Melissa Frances Crepe Paper that I found at a local scrapbook store.  I gathered two strips of the Crepe Paper using a running stitch and then I glued them to the inside of the heart using some Fabritac.  I added some red seam binding and a ribbon flower that I made using some ribbon that I found at the Dollar Store. The resin heart in the center of the ribbon flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts!

For the Owl Card, I cut Silhouette Love Owl Treat Pocket #72430 by Pebbles In My Pocket from the same Pebbles Design Paper. I glittered the wings using  DecoArt Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint ~ Ice Crystal. I added a birthday hat that I stamped using Hampton Arts ~ Doddlebug Design Birthday Set #ICO163. The tiny buttons and "XOXO" are from my stash.

I also made a larger Heart Pocket to give for Valentine's Day that I cut using Silhouette Heart Pocket #24996 by Lori Whitlock  from the same Pebbles Design Papers.  I adjusted the design of the cut by deleting the holes that were at the top of the heart. The "XOXO" border is from Pebbles Yours Truly ~ First Kiss Design Papers. For the scalloped border, I used one of my favorite punches, EK Success Dotted Scallop Slim Edger Punch and for the border on the card, I used EK Success Arrow Slim Edger Punch. The red and white twine is from Offray that I found at Target.

I made these Candy Boxes as well using Silhouette 3D Heart Cracker Box #73228 by Lori Whitlock. For the acetate window, I used Judikins Embossable Window Plastic.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!! I hope you like all the projects I created!!

February Tag

Hi Everyone!! I'm back today with the February Tag that I made for the Tag Challenge that my friend Gunilla and I decided to do this year. The theme for February is Love Is In The Air. This tag was a lot of fun to create!  I've been trying to be good and use the things that I already have in my stash and what a great way to use some of the scraps that I have saved from other projects.

For my tag, I used Shery K Digital Design Papers ~ Love Is In The Air Collection from MyGrafico. I sponged around the edge of the tag using Recollections Chalk Ink.  I added some lace that I found at Hobby Lobby along with some Recollections Pearls.  I cut the Scalloped Oval using Spellbinders  #S4-139 Petite Scalloped Ovals Large out of Recollections Glitter Paper and Spellbinders #S4-138 Petite Ovals Large out of the Digital Design Paper Collection. The heart was cut using Sizzix #656764 Heart Set #2. The Heart Resin and the Pink Seam Binding are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I hope I have inspired you to make some tags from some items in your stash. Please visit Gunilla's Blog ~ Nillas Kort to see the cute tag that she has created for February! If you would like to play along with me and Gunilla, the theme for March will be Anything Goes. Gunilla and I have talked about using some Graphic 45 ~ Secret Garden Design Papers and Embellishments on the March Tag as well. It will be fun to see how each of our tags come out when we both use the same papers.

Have a wonderful day!!

Tag Challenge

Hi Everyone! My sweet and talented friend Gunilla  and I have been talking about doing a challenge for quite awhile. Gunilla lives in Sweden, so we talk on SKYPE.  We show each other the projects that we are working on and we talk about different techniques that we have seen. We finally decided to do a Tag Challenge with a different theme for each month this year.  The tags will measure  4 3/4" x  2 3/8" and we will add them to a ring. At the end of the year, we will have 12 tags to look back on. Almost like a journal in a way. The theme for  January's tag is Winter.

For my tag, I used Echo Park Country Drive - Big Sky Digital Paper for the background. I printed Shery K Love In Paris 20 - Music Notes Digital Paper on white tissue paper and added a strip to the left side of the tag. I added gesso over it to help tone it down a little bit and I continued around the edge of the tag. I added more shading to the edge of the tag using Studio G Grey Chalk Ink. I also used the gesso to add the little polka dots using a Printworks Stencil that I purchase at a local Stamp Convention. I added a piece of lace from my stash that I trimmed down to the scalloped edge. I used Echo Park Country Drive Digital Elements 1 - Bluebird for the cute little bird.  I added DecoArt Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Glitter Paint to the wing and went around the edge of the bird with Studio G Grey Chalk Ink to help it stand out from the background. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and All Natural Accents. I also added some DecoArt Ice Crystal Glamour Dust Glitter Paint to them. The pearl flourish is from Recollections.

Please visit Gunilla's Blog - Nillas Kort to see the beautiful winter tag that she has created for the Challenge. If you would like to play along with us, the theme for February is Love Is In The Air. Leave a link in the comments, we would love to see the tag you have created!

I'll be back soon with some Valentine's Day projects that I have created along with the February Tag!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Big Hugs,
