Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everyone! Not only is it Halloween, but I'm celebrating my 2nd blog anniversary! Oh My Goodness! I can't believe that it has been 2 years since I started blogging! This past year I haven't done as many postings as I would of liked to have done, but I'm going to try to do more this coming year!

Today, I would like to share a Halloween Envelope Card  that I made.   I used my WRMK Envelope Punch Board to create the 3" x 4" envelope out of a  6" square piece of design paper that I printed on a piece of Georgia-Pacific Card Stock using a Digi Design Paper from Jessica Sprague -  Crystal Wikerson Designs Too Cute To Spook Collection. The Scalloped Frame is from Jessica Sprague - Echo Park Tricks and Treats Collection that I also printed out and fussy cut.  The flourish that I stamped on it is a Craft Smart Stamp from Michael's.  The cute little girl is from My Favorite Things - Pure Innocence Pretty Pumpkin Stamp Set. I stamped it on Cryogen White and colored it with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I paper pieced the blouse, skirt and bow with digi design papers from Jessica Sprague - Crystal Wikerson Designs Too Cute To Spoke Collection. The Happy Halloween is also from the Pretty Pumpkin Set. The October 1st is a Studio G stamp from Joann's.  The Orange Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Berries and Pumpkin Ribbon are from Michael's. The Leaves are from my stash.

I want to thank you all so very much for stopping by and leaving me all the sweet comments this past year! Each and every one of them are much appreciated!

I hope you have a wonderful day and a fun evening trick or treating!

Big Hugs,
Suzan

Hello Pumpkin!

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful October! I can't believe that Halloween is only a couple of days away! My hubby and I planted 7 Sugar Pumpkin plants in the backyard and so far we have 7 pumpkins! 3 of them have already been cut off the vine and I am planing on making a pumpkin pie with one of them! I hope it comes out okay! I've always used pumpkin from a can, never from a real pumpkin before! I'll let you know how the pie turns out!

I would like to share with you a cute little Pumpkin Treat Container that I made.  The sweet image that I used is a Heather Ellis Pure Innocence Digi. I printed the image on Georgia-Pacfic White Card Stock and colored it in with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils. I paper pieced the dress using Digi Paper from MyGrafico - Shery K Designs Daisies Collection and the pumpkin was paper pieced with Digi Paper from Jessica Sprague - Echo Park Tricks and Treats Collection. I embossed the orange card stock with a dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug. For the decorative border, I used a Die-namics Die. The flower and leaves are from my stash. The berries are from Michaels and the twine is from the Dollar Store.

Three little Sugar Pumpkins from my pumpkin patch!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I'll be back soon with another Halloween creation that I have made!

Have a wonderful day!

Suzan

Party In Pink

Hi Everyone,  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and my friend, Jacque Beddingfield, who is a breast cancer survivor, is the co-chair for a Party In Pink Zumbathon this weekend in her hometown of Hendersonville, NC.  Jacque has taken it on as a personal goal to reach as many people as she can all over the world to raise money for the Cause and the Cure of Breast Cancer. This disease effects more than 1 in every 8 women all over the world and many men as well!

Please visit Jacque's Blog, Jacque's Joie de Vivre, to get all the details on how you can help her with this cause that is so close to her heart! Wouldn't it be wonderful to Stamp Out Breast Cancer for Good!

Speaking of stamping, I would like to share a card with you that I made for Jacque back in 2010.  For this card, I used Fairy Dust Tilda, because I thought it would be the perfect image to send pink wishes her way! The Design Papers that I used are Pink Ribbon from Stemmar and Basic Glitter Paper from Best Creation Inc. I added flowers from my stash.  The pink beads on the wire are from Michael's wedding section.  They were on a long garland that I took apart.  I bent them to look like vines and added a heart charm that I found at Joann's.  I also used Petite Scalloped Nesties and an EK Success Arrow Slim Edger Border Punch.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and I hope you can take a moment to visit Jacque's Blog as well! I know she would greatly appreciate your support!

Sending Pink Wishes to All of You!

Sunny Sunflower Tilda Tag and Caddy

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing well! My hubby planted some sunflowers in the yard at the beginning of the summer and the flowers bloomed a couple of weeks ago. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers. They bring a smile to my face whenever I see them. Unfortunately, the sunflowers in my yard are already drying up, because of the very hot weather we having been here on the Coast of California. I'm really sad to see them go, but the birds are going to very happy to get the sunflower seeds sometime soon.

I would like to share with you something that I created with some sunflowers that I made. I used C.C. Designs - Sunflower Die to cut out the sunflowers from mulberry paper. I colored them using some chalk inks to match the Design Paper. I gave them a little shape using a ball burnisher from the McGill Flower Making Tool Kit.

For the Tag, I used Mini Tilda With Sunflowers. The sweet image was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The Design Paper that I used is from Creative Imaginations - Samantha Walker Tea Blossom. The flowers are from Recollections. The ribbon and twine are from the Dollar Store.

The Caddy was made using Sizzix Scoreboards XL Die - Bag, Caddy #657123. I cut it out of Chipboard and the Design Paper. I cut an extra backing piece out of chipboard to put in the caddy, because I didn't want the side flaps to show.  The butterfly is from Making Memories.

Here is one of the Russian Mammoth Sunflowers in my yard.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Sorry it has been awhile since my last post.

Enjoy the last week of summer!

I'm entering the Tilda Sunflower Tag and Caddy in the following challenges:

Midweek Magnolias - #73 Autumn Colors Challenge

Christmas in July - Mickey Snowman Treat Container

Hi Everyone! Can you believe that we are halfway through the year already! Christmas will be here in no time! Before it gets here, I want to share with you today a Mickey Snowman Treat Container that I made this past Christmas.  I made 15 of them for my hubby to give to his co-workers. I put together a Starbucks Cocoa Mix, Marshmallows, Chocolates and a Candy Cane to put in each container.

For the container, I used American Crafts Adobe Design Paper. I found a 25 sheet package at Tuesday Morning for only  $1.99. I made the container using my ScorPal and ScorTape.  I found the Mickey Snowman pattern at Disney family.com. I printed it on heavy card stock and cut it out to use as a template. I traced the snowman bodies and Mickey ears on white and black card stock.  I made my own template for the arms and nose and traced them as well. I cut all the pieces by hand.  For the scarf, I used Basic Grey Snowman Clear Stamp Set. I colored it with Copics and added Hero Arts Ultrafine Prisma Glitter. For the snowman eyes and mouth, I punched  1/16 inch holes in the snowman body template and used it as a guide to draw them in with a Copic Black Liner Pen.  I added the rosy cheeks using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For the snowflake background, I used a snowflake embossing folder from Darice. The polka dot ribbon is from Target's Dollar section. I used the Martha Stewart Scallop Snowflake Border Punch to make the border.

Here's a closer look! I think they came out pretty cute. My hubby and everyone he gave them to loved them, which made me so very happy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I really do love hearing what you think of my projects!

I hope you all are enjoying the summer and staying cool. It is a hot one here again today in Southern California.  Maybe if I sing some Christmas Carols and have a snow cone, I'll feel a little bit cooler!

Big Hugs,

Puppy Love

Hello Everyone! Sorry I've been away for so long! I hope that you are all doing well and are having a wonderful summer!   Here on the Coast of Southern California, summer has started off with a big bang! We are having a heat wave with temperature in the high 80's, low 90's and it might even reach a 100 degrees today!

I want to share with you a little doghouse and tag that I created for a friend who just adopted a puppy! As you can tell from the pink design papers that I used that the puppy is a sweet little girl. To create the doghouse, I used a pattern from SVG Cutting Files. Since I don't have Sure Cuts A Lot for my Cricut, I just printed the pattern out on card stock and made a template. I glued a sheet of white card stock and the pink designer papers together using a Pioneer Photo Glue Stick to give the doghouse strength. I traced the pattern onto it and cut it out by hand. I put the doghouse together using ScorTape.  The digi design papers that I used are from MyGrafico,  Designs by Angie - Isabel Set 1 and 2.  I added a little bit of crocheted lace that I found at Hobby Lobby and some pink ribbon from Michaels. For the cute little puppy, I used a Quickutz Die that I bought a few years ago - Dog #KS-0550. The pearl heart is from Wild Orchid Crafts and the little dog bone is from my stash. The "Puppy Love" is from Technique Tuesday - Dogs We Love Set #KDWL.

Well, I hope you like this little doghouse and tag! I know that I will be making them again. It was pretty easy to put together. I didn't take a picture of it, but the roof on the doghouse opens up so you can fill it with treats for a friend or their sweet dog . I filled the doghouse with some yummy Gourmet Cherry Heart Shaped Jelly Beans that I found at Target.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I always love hearing from you and appreciate all your comments. I hope to be back again soon with another project that I'm working on.

Until then, stay cool during the Dog Days of Summer!

I'm entering the doghouse and tag in the following challenges:

Hippity Hoppity Easter Is On It's Way

Hello Everyone! Since the weather is starting to warm up, I've been trying to work in my garden little by little, digging up the grass and weeds that have grown in the flowerbeds during the winter. The daffodils have already come up and gone, which kind of makes me sad. It seems every year when they bloom, warm Santa Ana winds blow here and dry them up and they are gone too soon. When I was at Trader Joe's last week though, they had cut daffodils on sale, so I bought three bunches. They are one of my favorite flowers next to Sweet Peas!

For my card, I used Digi Design Papers from Designs by Angie, Isabel Collection, that I found at MyGrafico. I cut the Egg Shape using the largest egg from the Cheery Lynn XM-18 Nesting Eggs Die Set. Swiss Pixies Bunny Lucy, from C.C. Designs, was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added Hero Arts Ultrafine Prisma Glitter to the hat, dress and leggings. She was released last year and I have been wanting to use her ever since then. I think she is so cute!! The White Crocheted Lace is from Hobby Lobby. The Teal Rose is from Recollections. The Pink Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Teal Berries and Pink Ribbon are from Joann's. The Butterflies were cut using Martha Stewart Trio Butterfly Punch and some small flat back pearls from my stash were added to the centers. The "HAPPY EASTER" was stamped using Impression Obsession Clear Sentiments II Set and backed with a flower that was punched using a Punch Bunch Punch.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I always love hearing what you think of my cards and projects.

Have a wonderful Spring and a very happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny brings you some crafting surprises in your Easter Baskets and lots of chocolates too!

Happy Spring To You!

Hi Everyone! Happy Spring! I appreciate you all coming to visit my blog each time that I post a new project or card, so I have put together a Spring Basket of Goodies for one of my followers.

For the Basket Pocket, I used Digi Design Papers from Designs by Angie, Isabel Collection, that I found at MyGrafico. I printed a 6 inch square. I scored it at 3 inches using the ScorBuddy and folded the paper in half. I rounded the bottom corners to give the basket some shape. I added the border that I punched with Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch and the ribbon that I found at Michael's. Then, I added ScorTape to the inside edges to close the sides up. I did this after adding the ribbon, because I wanted to be able to wrap the ribbon around the edges of the paper for a clean finish. I have found when adding some ribbons to a project that it is better to place the ScorTape where you want the ribbon to be placed on the project and then add the ribbon on top of it. This way the ribbon will come out smooth and straight. I added some grass that I punched using the Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch to the edge of the basket. I added some flowers from my stash and some berries that I found at Joann's. The leaves were punched with the Martha Stewart Frond Punch.

For the sign that I have added to the basket, I have used the sweet Mini Bunny Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, that was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The "happy spring" is from MemoryBox.  The little flower is from All Natural Accents.

Somebunny Wants To Wish You A Happy Spring

Hello Everyone! I hope this find you all doing well! Can you believe that it is already March! Where has the time gone! I can remember when I was a little girl, time felt like it was standing still. Now it seems like it is flying by so quickly! I just wish that Spring will get here soon!

Every March, A Stamp In The Hand sponsors The Original Stamp Convention, a local stamp convention, which is this Saturday and Sunday at the Carson Convention Center. I have decided to go with the pledge to myself not to buy too much! LOL! It is always nice to go to see what is new and to also see some friends. I have made these little Spring Baskets filled with goodies to give to my friends when I see them there. I can't wait!

For the basket, I have used a pink and green polka dotted paper that I found at Hobby Lobby.  Hobby Lobby opened in my neighborhood in December and I finally went for the first time last week! Oh My Goodness! They have a lot of stuff in there! The cute Little Bunny image is from Taj of Honolulu. The flowers are from All Natural Accents. I used Martha Stewart Fence and Pinking Scallop Punches for the borders. I used Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles to frame the bunny. The lace is from my stash. I found the direction for the basket at Splitcoaststampers. I used a 6 inch square of card stock and scored 2 inches all around. The handle is 1/2 inch wide by 6 inches long.

For the card, I used the sweet Bunny In Basket image from Taj of Honolulu. The Happy Spring Ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

Thank you for stopping by my blog for a visit! I always love hearing from you and appreciate the sweet comments that you leave for me!

I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Hugs and Kisses For You!

Hello Everyone! Happy February! I found these very cute Heather Ellis Pure Innocence Digi Images a few months back and thought they would be perfect for some of the things I wanted to create this month. Some of the images were only 79 cents. You can't beat that and they are very easy to print out. I printed them on the Georgia Pacific White Card Stock. These cute images can also be found at My Favorite Things if you rather not print them out.

For the Valentine's Day Treat Holder, I used Sizzix -  French Fry Box Die #654367. I used Digi Papers from Shery K -  Love Is In The Air Collection that I purchased from MyGrafico. The sweet girl, Love You With All My Heart, was colored with Alcohol Markers and Prismacolor Pencils. I paper pieced her dress and the heart.  I die cut the scalloped heart using the Scalloped Heart and Heart Spellbinder Dies. The heart ribbon is from Target's $1 Section. The "XOXO" was stamped using the Stampin Up - My Little Valentine Stamp Set, which was a gift from a very sweet friend!

For the Card, I used this sweet image, My Balloon.  To create the large flower, I used Joy -  3 Piece Flower Die Set. For the tiny blue flowers, I used a small flower punch. The pink roses and bud are from Wild Orchid Crafts. For the doily, I used Cheery Lynn Designs - DL102 French Pastry Doily. For the scalloped border, I used  EK Success Dotted Scallop Slim Edger Punch. The Heart Rhinestones are from Recollections. The "Just For You" was computer generated using Monotype Corsiva Font.

Here is a closer look at the little Valentine.

Sending You Love For Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Inspiration Challenge

Hi Everyone! For one of my New Year's  Resolutions, I have decided to try to use the craft products that I already have in my craft room. I have always had a love for paper even when I was a little girl. There use to be a stationary store near my house where I use to buy all sorts of construction papers by the sheet, the rainbow one being my favorite. I also had these Lindy Ball Point Pens in all the different colors. I even had a set of 36 color pencils back then and I have to admit to you all that I still have them in their original box! My addiction to paper, ribbon and lace has grown in the last few years. I don't feel bad though, because I know that I'm not the only one in this boat. I'm proud of myself, because I used quite of few things from my stash on this card!

It's that time again for another Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Inspiration Challenge. The challenge is being hosted by the talented Chris.

Chris has chosen this wonderful picture to inspire us all!

I hope it inspires you to play along with us! All you need to do is to use a MAGNOLIA IMAGE on your card or project. Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of a Special Surprise Gift from Magnolia-licious, the best place to shop for Magnolias and many other wonderful things.

For my card, I was inspired by the grey, pink and black in the picture along with the tree branches. I used Digi Design Papers from Shery K Designs - Love in Paris Collection that I purchased at MyGrafico. Tilda with Christmas Hearts, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I paper pieced her dress using some digi papers. I added some Black Doodlebug Flock to the trim of the dress to make it look like black velvet. I just love this sweet image! It's just perfect to send a little love to someone special any time of the year! I made the flowers using a set of Joy Flower Dies. I die cut them out and sponged them with some Pink Chalk Ink from Recollections. The Black Centers are Studio112 Adhesive Gems from Joann Fabrics and Crafts. The Pink Mini Roses and Rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Branch was cut using Sizzlets Cherry Blossom Branch. The Bird was cut using LR0205 Marianne Designs Creatables Die Set. The Heart Lace is from Joann Frabrics and Crafts. The Pink and White Bakers Twine is from Hemptique that I purchased at Marshalls. The Pink Trim around the heart is from my stash. The pink Velvet Ribbon is from Michaels. The Postmark was stamped using an image from Recollections. After putting the card together, I decided to add a hand drawn heart for the bird to hold.

Happy New Year for Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Color Challenge

Hello Everyone! Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! My hubby and I had a quiet Christmas Day and New Year's Eve! I came down with Shingles the Thursday before Christmas along with a cold, so we spent it at home and we had minestrone soup and french bread for Christmas dinner. I usually prepare a nice dinner for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but I just wasn't able to do it. If you've had the chickenpox, I would recommend that you get the Shingle Shot that is available. It is no fun having Shingles! It is so painful! I know I will be getting the shot as soon as I am completely well, because they can reoccur over and over again. It seems like more and more people are coming down with Shingle nowadays, especially due the busy lifestyles that most of us lead.

Well, it is time for the very first challenge of the New Year at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. The challenge is being hosted by the talented Chris.

For this Color Challenge, Chris has chosen these winter colors!

For my card, I have used Digi Design Papers from Shery K Designs - Cacao Collection that I purchased at MyGrafico. I received some images from the new  With Love Collection the other day from Magnolia-licious and had to use the Tilda with Love Potion. I think she is perfect for a New Year's Card as well as for a Valentine's Day Card, a Wedding Card, a Congratulations Card, and so many more occasions! Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I paper pieced her dress and shoes and added some sparkle using Sakura Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen to the dress, and the heart bubbles. You really can't see it on Tilda's dress in the picture, but it looks really pretty in person.  The Silver Roses are from Recollections. The White Semi-Open Rosebuds are Wild Orchid Crafts. The Silver Glitter Fronds are from Michaels. The Sheer Silver Ribbon and Silver Glitter Paper are from JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit today! I hope you take a moment to visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog  and see all the gorgeous cards that my teammates have created!! I also hope you stop by Magnolia-licious to see all the wonderful deals that Diana is offering.
