Sunflower Notecard

Hi Everyone!! I have a Fall project that I would like to share with you! I created a 3 x 3 notecard using We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I used American Crafts - Pumpkin Patch Design Paper for the envelope. I added a sunflower that I created using Magnolia Doohickey Club Volume 6 Sunflower Dies. Isn't the center so cute with the little heart! I added a twine bow behind it along with a leaf that I found at Hobby Lobby.

For the scalloped card, I used American Crafts - Pumpkin Patch Digital Embellishment Collection. I cut it out with my Silhouette Cameo.

I Heart Fall!!

Hi Everyone!! I have to admit that Fall is one of my favorite times of the year! I love when the weather starts to get crisp and the leaves on the trees start to change colors. Even though we didn't have very much of a Fall this year, my hubby and I were still able to enjoy some of our Fall Traditions.  One of the things we love doing is going to Avila Valley Barn in San Luis Obispo to buy apple crisp, apple cider and pumpkins to decorate our front porch!

For my shaker card, I cut the pumpkin shapes out of American Crafts Pumpkin Patch Design Paper using my Silhouette - 3 Thanksgiving Icons, #33067. I used Judikins Embossable Window Acetate to cover the opening of the pumpkin. The cute little fox along with the other images are from Lawn Fawn Into The Woods Stamp Set. I colored them with Copic Markers.

Thank you for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful Fall day!!

Fall Is In The Air!!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been away for so long! It was such a hot Summer here in California! One of the hottest ones that I can remember!! Without central air, it was unbearable on some days. Needless to say, I didn't get very much crafting done. In the last couple of weeks, it has started to cool down, especially in the evenings. It is so nice!! Fall is finally here!

I would like to share a Fall card that I created using Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest Stamp and matching Die Set. I colored in all the images that I used with Copic Markers. I created the watercolor paper background using orange and yellow Liquid Acrylic Paints and Gold Pearl Ex Powder that I have had in my stash for years. You can find a wonderful tutorial on how to do this technique on Youtube from creativeyoungmama.  After the piece dried, I cut it out using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die. The orange gingham paper is from Lori Whitlock's Fall Fling Digital Paper Collection. For the final touch, I added a little bit of twine to the edge.

Thank you for stopping by today!! Happy Fall To You All!!

Big Hugs,
Suzan

Party In Pink

Hi Everyone,  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and my friend, Jacque Beddingfield, who is a breast cancer survivor, is the co-chair for a Party In Pink Zumbathon this weekend in her hometown of Hendersonville, NC.  Jacque has taken it on as a personal goal to reach as many people as she can all over the world to raise money for the Cause and the Cure of Breast Cancer. This disease effects more than 1 in every 8 women all over the world and many men as well!

Please visit Jacque's Blog, Jacque's Joie de Vivre, to get all the details on how you can help her with this cause that is so close to her heart! Wouldn't it be wonderful to Stamp Out Breast Cancer for Good!

Speaking of stamping, I would like to share a card with you that I made for Jacque back in 2010.  For this card, I used Fairy Dust Tilda, because I thought it would be the perfect image to send pink wishes her way! The Design Papers that I used are Pink Ribbon from Stemmar and Basic Glitter Paper from Best Creation Inc. I added flowers from my stash.  The pink beads on the wire are from Michael's wedding section.  They were on a long garland that I took apart.  I bent them to look like vines and added a heart charm that I found at Joann's.  I also used Petite Scalloped Nesties and an EK Success Arrow Slim Edger Border Punch.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and I hope you can take a moment to visit Jacque's Blog as well! I know she would greatly appreciate your support!

Sending Pink Wishes to All of You!

Christmas in July - Mickey Snowman Treat Container

Hi Everyone! Can you believe that we are halfway through the year already! Christmas will be here in no time! Before it gets here, I want to share with you today a Mickey Snowman Treat Container that I made this past Christmas.  I made 15 of them for my hubby to give to his co-workers. I put together a Starbucks Cocoa Mix, Marshmallows, Chocolates and a Candy Cane to put in each container.

For the container, I used American Crafts Adobe Design Paper. I found a 25 sheet package at Tuesday Morning for only  $1.99. I made the container using my ScorPal and ScorTape.  I found the Mickey Snowman pattern at Disney family.com. I printed it on heavy card stock and cut it out to use as a template. I traced the snowman bodies and Mickey ears on white and black card stock.  I made my own template for the arms and nose and traced them as well. I cut all the pieces by hand.  For the scarf, I used Basic Grey Snowman Clear Stamp Set. I colored it with Copics and added Hero Arts Ultrafine Prisma Glitter. For the snowman eyes and mouth, I punched  1/16 inch holes in the snowman body template and used it as a guide to draw them in with a Copic Black Liner Pen.  I added the rosy cheeks using Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For the snowflake background, I used a snowflake embossing folder from Darice. The polka dot ribbon is from Target's Dollar section. I used the Martha Stewart Scallop Snowflake Border Punch to make the border.

Here's a closer look! I think they came out pretty cute. My hubby and everyone he gave them to loved them, which made me so very happy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I really do love hearing what you think of my projects!

I hope you all are enjoying the summer and staying cool. It is a hot one here again today in Southern California.  Maybe if I sing some Christmas Carols and have a snow cone, I'll feel a little bit cooler!

Big Hugs,

Suzan

Hippity Hoppity Easter Is On It's Way

Hello Everyone! Since the weather is starting to warm up, I've been trying to work in my garden little by little, digging up the grass and weeds that have grown in the flowerbeds during the winter. The daffodils have already come up and gone, which kind of makes me sad. It seems every year when they bloom, warm Santa Ana winds blow here and dry them up and they are gone too soon. When I was at Trader Joe's last week though, they had cut daffodils on sale, so I bought three bunches. They are one of my favorite flowers next to Sweet Peas!

For my card, I used Digi Design Papers from Designs by Angie, Isabel Collection, that I found at MyGrafico. I cut the Egg Shape using the largest egg from the Cheery Lynn XM-18 Nesting Eggs Die Set. Swiss Pixies Bunny Lucy, from C.C. Designs, was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added Hero Arts Ultrafine Prisma Glitter to the hat, dress and leggings. She was released last year and I have been wanting to use her ever since then. I think she is so cute!! The White Crocheted Lace is from Hobby Lobby. The Teal Rose is from Recollections. The Pink Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Teal Berries and Pink Ribbon are from Joann's. The Butterflies were cut using Martha Stewart Trio Butterfly Punch and some small flat back pearls from my stash were added to the centers. The "HAPPY EASTER" was stamped using Impression Obsession Clear Sentiments II Set and backed with a flower that was punched using a Punch Bunch Punch.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! I always love hearing what you think of my cards and projects.

Have a wonderful Spring and a very happy Easter! I hope the Easter Bunny brings you some crafting surprises in your Easter Baskets and lots of chocolates too!

I have entered my card in the following Challenges:

All That Scraps Challenge - Winged Things
Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #73 - Celebrate

Magnolia Christmas Tag

Hello Everyone! I create a Christmas Tag using Digital Design Papers from MyGrafico - Shery K Designs Christmas 5 Collection and Echo Park Seasons Greetings Collection. Tilda with Little Rudolf, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Doodlebug Design Flock was added to Tilda's Santa Hat and Rudolf's tummy, ears and antlers. The Tree Ribbon is from Target's Dollar Spot. I made the Poinsettias using Marianne Creations Small Poinsettia Die. The Gold Dew Drops in the center of the poinsettias and on the corners of the tag are from Stamping Bella. The Roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The Gold Berries are from Joann Craft and Fabric Store. "For a dear friend" was computer generated. The Red Ribbon is from my stash.

For the interactive part of my tag, I made a slider. I found the instructions on how to make it HERE. I adjusted the size to be a 5 inch square. I printed the frames using Echo Park Digi Dashes Through the Snow Element Pack 1. The Holly was punched using a small punch from my stash. The Red Berries are Red Jewel Dazzles from Hot Off The Press.

When the front of the tag is opened, a honeycomb tree is in the inside. I used Inky Antics Ornament Birdy Stamp Set and Red and Green Honeycomb Paper Pads. The Striped Ribbon is from Target's Dollar Section. The Label was printed using Echo Park All I Want For Christmas Element Pack 2. The Ornaments and Gift are stickers that I found at Walmart.

Have a wonderful day!

Hello Everyone!
For my card, I used Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico - Lilly Bimble Christmas Joy Collection and a Shiny Silver Card Stock from my stash. Joyful Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I paper pieced Tilda's Apron using a Poinsettia Digi Paper. I added Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter to the heart shaped cookies. I just love this image and I know I will be using it all throughout the year to make cards for my friends who love tea! The Silver Scalloped Border is sticker that I found at a local Dollar Store. The Lace Corner was cut using Cheery Lynn Designs Die #162. The Silver Pearls are from Michael's. The Small Red and White Roses and Buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Large Red Roses are from my stash. Apple Tilda For Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Inspiration Challenge

Hello Everyone! One of my favorite times of the year is fall! During the fall, my hubby and I love to  go for the day to Oak Glen, a little town up in the mountains, to get some apples, freshly pressed apple cider, apple pie and more. I usually pack a picnic and we go to all the orchards and shops! One of our favorite places to stop is Snow Line Orchard. They have the best Apple Cider Mini Donuts that they make while you wait! The warm donuts covered with a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar are so delicious! I can't wait to go this year!

Today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog, we are being hosted by our very sweet Design Team
Leader, Candy.  The theme that she has chosen is to USE BUTTONS on a card or project!

I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! All you need to do is use a Magnolia Image and Buttons on your card or project. Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of a  Special Surprise Gift from
Magnolia-licious, the best place to shop for Magnolias and many other wonderful things.

Halloween is just around the corner and Diana has put together a Halloween/Autumn Bundle of 14 Mini Stamps with a 28% Savings!! All the minis in the bundle are so cute!.  .  . Perfect for Halloween Treat Bags, Tags and Cards!

For my Criss Cross Card, I have used Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico Shery K Designs Apples Collection and Christmas 5 Collection. Apple Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. For the scalloped borders, I used  EK Success Dotted Scallop Slim Edger Punch. This is one of my favorite punches! The apples on either side of Tilda are buttons from JHB. They were originally a bright red, which didn't match the design papers very well, so I painted them with Martha Stewart Multi Surface Satin Acrylic Craft Paints - Chipotle and Pesto. Then, I added a coating of Glossy Accents with a paint brush. The lace and red gingham ribbon are from my stash. The doily is from Wilton. The pearl strand is from JoAnn's. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and All Natural Accents.

Here is a look of the card and the insert that fits in the pocket.
The apple on the insert is a Sticko sticker from EK Success.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I appreciate all the wonderful comments that you leave for me! I hope you take a minute to visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and see all the gorgeous cards that my teammates have created!!

Happy 4th Of July For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! Can you believe that 4th of July is next week!  4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  My hubby and I decorate the wheels on our bikes with red, white and blue crepe paper streamers and participate in the neighborhood bike parade. It is always so much fun. Even our dog, Woody, comes along with us.  We have a bike trailer that he rides in that has been adapted with a wood floor so he can stand up in it. Woody has a pair of Doggles that he wears to keep the bugs and road dirt out of his eyes.  He has as much fun as we do.   .   . maybe even more, because everyone says hello to him!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, I am so happy to be hosting. For this week's challenge,  I have chosen  Add A BANNER to a card or project . I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of one this week's wonderful prizes from 7 Kids College Fund and The Ribbon Girl.

For my card, I used Lilly Bimble Patriotic Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico. I added a Double Mat of Red and Blue Card Stock using the Perfect Layers RulersBurger Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I used the Scor Bubby to create the Bunting Banner. I used the stripes in the Design Paper as a guide for the score lines. Then I used  FabricTac to form and to add the K & Company Americana Pillow Stars to each bunting.

I created the picnic table by cutting a rectangle out of the Design Paper and two oblong diamonds to place on the corners. The legs are just two strips of brown card stock. The Pie is from Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers and the Condiments are from Stampa Barbara. Unfortunately these two companies have gone out of business. The little flag in the pie is from a Studio G Clear Stamp Set.   .   . the flag is on a cupcake.  For the grass, I used Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch.  Before I glued everything down, I sponged some clouds in the background using a cloud template. "Happy Fourth Of July" is also from Studio G. The ribbon is from Michaels.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! And, for those of you in the USA, I hope that you and your families have a fun and safe 4th of July!

Hello  Everyone! I've been wanting to use Teddy Bear Love Tilda ever since in came out!! The cute image brought back fond memories of when I use to collect Muffy Bears. One of the first Christmases my hubby and I celebrated together, my hubby bought the Christmas Edition Muffy Bear for me. He took it out of the box and put it under the tree for me to find.  He threw the box that it came in away not knowing that it should be kept!! Well, my hubby ended up writing the company to get me a replacement box.  He asked if he could please get one, so he could get out of the dog house. The company sent out a new box and wrote a sweet letter saying that they hoped the box would help him get out of the dog house. LOL!!

Hello Everyone!  I'm so excited to be hosting my very first Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge.  When I was asked to pick a theme, the first thing that came to my mind was a Doily. For my card, I used We R Memory Keepers - Love Struck Design Papers. Tilda Sending Love, from Magnolia-licious was colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. This Tilda is one of my favorites from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.  I think she is so cute!  I love her curly hair! The heart doily is from Wilton that I found at Michaels. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, Recollections and from my stash.  The vine was cut with a Bosskut Die.  The crocheted lace is from JoAnns. The pearls are from Hero Arts.  And, the stitched ribbon is also from my stash!

Mini Magnolia Valentine's Day Cards and Treats

Hello Everyone!  Like I promised, here are the Valentine's Day Cards, Pillow Box and Lollipop Cover that I made for CHA.  I was asked to make them using  Magnolia Mini World Stamps from Magnolia-licious.  While making the cards and treats,  I realized how much I love these little cuties!! Instead of making the usual 6" square cards, I made 3 1/2" square cards.
I think this size is just perfect for a little Valentine Greeting for someone special!

For the With Love Card, I used Digi Papers from Design House Digital - Kate Teague Valley of Love Papers. The Mini Tilda With Heart was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The scalloped heart was cut using CC Designs Cutter Big Hearts Embossing Die.  The saying is from the Valley of Love Elements. The scalloped border is from  EK Success.

For the Puppy Love Card, I used Digi Papers from Nitwit - From the Heart Collection. The Mini Tilda with Puppy was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  The large scalloped heart was cut using Nestibilities Classic Hearts and Classic Scalloped Hearts. The heart border is from EK Success. And, the love brad is from Basic Grey.

Here are the Valentine's Day Pillow Box and Lollipop Cover.  The pillow box is from Wilton.
I found the directions for the lollipop cover here. I decorated both using Digi Papers from Nitwit - Val'n Tine Collection. Mini Tilda with the String of Hearts was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The scalloped rectangular mats behind Tilda were cut using the Cricut - Elegant Edges Cartridge. The heart border is from EK Success. They were so easy to make and would be great for a school party, birthday party, or just to make for blogging friends!

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful week!  Please come back this Friday. I'll have my Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAngler Challenge Card and some Valentine's Candy for a lucky follower!

Big Hugs,

Sending You Hugs for Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! I've been busy getting ready for CHA the past couple of weeks. I'm so excited that I'm going to finally see some of the wonderful friends that I have met in the blogging world, including my dear friends Jacque and Bev!   Jacque and I will be working at the Magnolia Mini World/ScorPal Booth #856 on Monday and Tuesday, so if you will be attending the convention, please stop by and say hello!!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge Blog, we are being hosted by the talented Jane.  For this Challenge, Jane has created a wonderful sketch for us to use!
I hope that you will come and join us!! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the lucky winner of a wonderful prize from All That Scraps or Ribbon Girl.

For my card, I used Digi Papers from Nitwit - Val'n Tine Collection. The very cute Koala Hug Tilda, which was a wonderful surprise this Christmas from a very sweet friend, was colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  If you don't already have this image, Magnolia-licious has it available on Pre-order. The saying from All That Scraps - Amy R Stamps Heart-y Sayings was stamped on hearts  that were cut using Nestabilities Classic Hearts. The latches were cut using Sizzix Sizzlet Die and  then fingernail charms were added to them. The heart border was cut using and EK Success Border Punch. The flowers are from Recollections and Wild Orchid Crafts. The doily is from Wilton that I bought at Michaels. And, the ribbon is from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by to visit! Hopefully I'll  have some pictures to share with you from CHA and I still have to share with you the cards that I made for convention too!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Big Hugs,
Suzan
