Fall Is In The Air!!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been away for so long! It was such a hot Summer here in California! One of the hottest ones that I can remember!! Without central air, it was unbearable on some days. Needless to say, I didn't get very much crafting done. In the last couple of weeks, it has started to cool down, especially in the evenings. It is so nice!! Fall is finally here!

I would like to share a Fall card that I created using Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest Stamp and matching Die Set. I colored in all the images that I used with Copic Markers. I created the watercolor paper background using orange and yellow Liquid Acrylic Paints and Gold Pearl Ex Powder that I have had in my stash for years. You can find a wonderful tutorial on how to do this technique on Youtube from creativeyoungmama.  After the piece dried, I cut it out using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Die. The orange gingham paper is from Lori Whitlock's Fall Fling Digital Paper Collection. For the final touch, I added a little bit of twine to the edge.

Thank you for stopping by today!! Happy Fall To You All!!

Big Hugs,
Suzan

Christmas Tea For You And Me

Hello Everyone!
For my card, I used Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico - Lilly Bimble Christmas Joy Collection and a Shiny Silver Card Stock from my stash. Joyful Tilda was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I paper pieced Tilda's Apron using a Poinsettia Digi Paper. I added Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter to the heart shaped cookies. I just love this image and I know I will be using it all throughout the year to make cards for my friends who love tea! The Silver Scalloped Border is sticker that I found at a local Dollar Store. The Lace Corner was cut using Cheery Lynn Designs Die #162. The Silver Pearls are from Michael's. The Small Red and White Roses and Buds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The Large Red Roses are from my stash. The Red Glitter Berries and Silver Leaves are from Michaels.

Have a wonderful week!

Happy 4th Of July For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! Can you believe that 4th of July is next week!  4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  My hubby and I decorate the wheels on our bikes with red, white and blue crepe paper streamers and participate in the neighborhood bike parade. It is always so much fun. Even our dog, Woody, comes along with us.  We have a bike trailer that he rides in that has been adapted with a wood floor so he can stand up in it. Woody has a pair of Doggles that he wears to keep the bugs and road dirt out of his eyes.  He has as much fun as we do.   .   . maybe even more, because everyone says hello to him!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, I am so happy to be hosting. For this week's challenge,  I have chosen  Add A BANNER to a card or project . I hope that you will join in on this fun challenge! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of one this week's wonderful prizes from 7 Kids College Fund and The Ribbon Girl.

For my card, I used Lilly Bimble Patriotic Digi Design Papers from MyGrafico. I added a Double Mat of Red and Blue Card Stock using the Perfect Layers RulersBurger Tilda, from Magnolia-licious, was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  I used the Scor Bubby to create the Bunting Banner. I used the stripes in the Design Paper as a guide for the score lines. Then I used  FabricTac to form and to add the K & Company Americana Pillow Stars to each bunting.

I created the picnic table by cutting a rectangle out of the Design Paper and two oblong diamonds to place on the corners. The legs are just two strips of brown card stock. The Pie is from Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers and the Condiments are from Stampa Barbara. Unfortunately these two companies have gone out of business. The little flag in the pie is from a Studio G Clear Stamp Set.   .   . the flag is on a cupcake.  For the grass, I used Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch.  Before I glued everything down, I sponged some clouds in the background using a cloud template. "Happy Fourth Of July" is also from Studio G. The ribbon is from Michaels.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! And, for those of you in the USA, I hope that you and your families have a fun and safe 4th of July!

Big Hugs,

Suzan

Sending Love To You For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone!  I'm so excited to be hosting my very first Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge.  When I was asked to pick a theme, the first thing that came to my mind was a Doily. Doilies remind me of handmade Valentine's, hearts and love, so I thought it would be the perfect theme for this time of year.  All you need to do is add a doily - store bought, die cut or crocheted to your project along with a Magnolia or hAnglar and stAnglar image.  It would make me so happy if you could join me and the rest of the talented Design Team for this week's challenge. Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the winner of one of this week's wonderful prizes from Jacobi NL and The Ribbon Girl.  We are so lucky to have two of  The Ribbon Girl Design Team members joining in on the challenge as well!

For my card, I used We R Memory Keepers - Love Struck Design Papers. Tilda Sending Love, from Magnolia-licious was colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. This Tilda is one of my favorites from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.  I think she is so cute!  I love her curly hair! The heart doily is from Wilton that I found at Michaels. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, Recollections and from my stash.  The vine was cut with a Bosskut Die.  The crocheted lace is from JoAnns. The pearls are from Hero Arts.  And, the stitched ribbon is also from my stash!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! I really do appreciate it!! Have a wonderful weekend! I'm looking forward to watching the Academy Awards on Sunday with a big bowl of popcorn.

Big Hugs,
Suzan

Show and Tell Challenge

May black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam, May luck be yours on Halloween!!
Happy Halloween Everyone!!  Thank you so much to all of you who stopped by yesterday
to wish me luck and to become a follower!! A special thank you to my sweet friend Jacque!!

This is a card that I made for the All That Scrap's Show and Tell C.C. Designs Challenge.
The Challenge requires the use of Black, Burnt Orange and Tan. I found a leaf shape that I liked and hand cut the leaf out of Digi DP's from the Shabby Princess Plentiful Collection to form an easel card. The cute pilgrim couple is C.C. Designs Digi Sugarplums Thanksgiving.  I found the image of the turkey off the Internet. I thought that it matched the pilgrims pretty well. I printed all the images on Cryogen White multiple times, so that I could give each image some dimension. I colored the images using Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I glued all the image pieces together using Sakura Quickie Glue Pinpoint Roller. This is my favorite glue to paper piece images. The pilgrims were popped up using dimensional tape. The Happy Turkey Day saying is from Peddler's Pack Stampworks. I can't believe this, but on the end of the stamp it says that it is from 1994. LOL!! The border punch is Fiskars Falling For You.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that you will come back again soon!!
Big Halloween Hugs to All Of You!!
